Richard D. Wyckoff and the
Wyckoff Stock Market Institute
Richard D. Wyckoff went to work on Wall Street as
a very young man. He was very successful and
soon owned his own brokerage firm. He also printed an extremely popular market letter. In addition,
Wyckoff published the nation's first financial
magazine entitled "The Magazine of Wall Street".
In addition, he developed a significant stock
advisory service and employed a large analytical staff.
Towards the end of the 1920's, poor health found Wyckoff rejuvenating himself on the French Riviera. He recognized the approaching stock market crash and returned to New York to try and convince
friends and clients of the impending disaster.
In 1931, he formed Richard D. Wyckoff Associates, which became the Stock Market Institute.
The Wyckoff method was enhanced by Robert Evans through the Chicago based Stock Market Institute
and now is shepherded by Craig Schroeder, in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Wyckoff Wave
The Wyckoff Wave is a weighted index consisting of 12 stocks that are leaders in their perspective industries. It was developed by the Stock Market Institute in 1931.
The Wyckoff Wave stocks, symbols and their multipliers are listed below. Ford Motor Company (F) has replaced GM in the Wyckoff Wave..

Introducing the
Wyckoff Stock Market Institute Forum
We are delighted to be adding a forum to the web site. It is a way for SMI to answer questions posed by Wyckoff students.
The purpose of this forum is to provide answers Wyckoff related questions from the Wyckoff Stock Market Institute staff. It is not meant to be a chat room for general market commentary or a place to discuss the speculative action future action of a particular market or stock.
Unfortunately, at this time the forum will not be open to everyone. Presently it is exclusively for Wyckoff students who have purchased or subscribed to a Wyckoff Stock Market Institute service. These include the Pulse of the Market and the Trends and Trading Ranges reports. The forum is also open to students who have purchased the Richard D. Wyckoff Course in Stock Market Science and Technique from this web site.
The sign up procedure is as follows:
1. If you qualify for membership, complete and
submit the registration information on the forum registration page.
2 If you would like to join the Forum,
